This Privacy Policy sets forth the policy for the handling of personal information or equivalent information (hereinafter referred to as “Personal Information, etc.”) of users (hereinafter referred to as “Users”) acquired by tanocee, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) in connection with the use of the Note application (hereinafter referred to as “this Application”).
1. Basic Policy
The Company recognizes the importance of Personal Information, etc., and considers the protection thereof to be a social responsibility. The Company shall comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (hereinafter referred to as the “APPI”) and other relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines, and shall properly acquire, use, and manage Personal Information, etc. handled by this Application.
2. Scope of Application
This Privacy Policy applies to the use of this Application. For external services linked from this Application (including, but not limited to, Google Drive, Google Analytics, Google AdMob, etc.), the privacy policies of those external services shall apply, and the Company assumes no responsibility therefor.
3. Information Acquired and Purposes of Use
The Company acquires the following information in providing this Application and uses it for the respective purposes:
(1) Information Entered or Created by Users in the Application
- Content of Information: Text and other note information created, edited, or saved by Users within this Application.
- Acquisition Method: Input and operation by Users within the application.
- Storage Location: As a general rule, stored only on the User’s device. The Company does not collect or store the content of User’s notes on its servers, etc. (except when using the backup function described in (2) below).
- Purpose of Use:
- To provide the note function.
(2) Information Related to the Use of the Backup Function
- Content of Information:
- Note information backed up based on User’s instructions.
- Authentication information (tokens, etc.) required for accessing Google Drive (The Company does not acquire or store the User’s Google account password itself).
- Acquisition Method:
- When the User instructs the use of the backup function and permits linkage with their Google Account.
- Storage Location: Backup data is stored directly in the Google Drive storage associated with the User’s Google Account. The Company does not retain backup data on its servers, etc.
- Purpose of Use:
- To provide the note data backup function based on User’s instructions.
- For linkage processing with Google Drive.
- Important Notes:
- Using the backup function requires the User to grant this Application permission to access their Google Drive via their own Google Account.
- The use of Google Drive is subject to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy of Google LLC.
- The User shall be responsible for executing, managing, and restoring backups, as well as for issues on the Google Drive side, such as insufficient storage space, account suspension, or specification changes.
(3) Information Regarding Application Usage
- Content of Information:
- Access analysis information (usage status, crash reports, etc.): Collected anonymously and does not identify individuals.
- Advertising identifiers (AAID/IDFA, etc.).
- Acquisition Method: Automatic acquisition by the application (using Google Analytics, Google AdMob, etc.).
- Purpose of Use:
- For analyzing service usage, improving quality, and investigating defects (Google Analytics).
- For delivering suitable advertisements to Users (Google AdMob).
- Detailed Information / Opt-out Methods:
- Google Analytics: Used for collecting access information. Please review the Google Analytics Terms of Service and How Google uses data when you use our partners’ sites or apps for Google’s data usage. - Google AdMob: Used for ad delivery. (4) Information Regarding Inquiries
- Content of Information: Name, email address, inquiry content, etc., provided during inquiries.
- Acquisition Method: Contact from Users via inquiry forms, email, etc.
- Purpose of Use:

4. Provision to Third Parties
The Company will not provide Personal Information, etc., to third parties without the User’s consent, except in the following cases:
- When required by laws and regulations.
- When necessary for the protection of human life, body, or property, and obtaining the User’s consent is difficult.
- When particularly necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound upbringing of children, and obtaining the User’s consent is difficult.
- When necessary to cooperate with national agencies, local governments, or individuals entrusted by them in executing affairs prescribed by laws and regulations, and obtaining the User’s consent may hinder the execution of such affairs.
- When outsourcing all or part of the Hhandling of Personal Information, etc., within the scope necessary to achieve the purposes of use stated in Section 3 above (The Company will exercise appropriate supervision over outsourcees).

5. Changes to the Privacy Policy
The Company shall review the operational status regarding the handling of Personal Information, etc., as appropriate, strive for continuous improvement, and may change this Privacy Policy as necessary. If there are material changes, we will notify or announce them to users, etc., using the method prescribed by the Company. Unless otherwise specified, the revised Privacy Policy shall become effective from the time it is posted.
